Oak Gardens features a large selection of grasses, from tall, decorative variegated and flowering grasses to short grass varieties. Many of the native Montana grasses available at Oak Gardens once covered Southwest Montana when Lewis and Clark traveled through this area in the early 1800s. By replanting these varieties, we can restore the landscape back to our natural habitat and integrate native grasses with other native plant species.
